About The Owner
Doug Daigle, owner and founder of American Flooring Holt, is a Veteran who served for three years in the 82nd Airborne Division in the United States Army. The 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army, was constituted as a part of the National Army on August 5, 1917. An infantry division of the United States Army that specializes in parachute assault operations into access denied locations. They had a requirement from the US Department of Defense to respond to crisis contingencies anywhere in the world within 18 hours. Initial members of the 82nd Division came from each of the 48 States of our Nation, at that time. The division was nicknamed “All-American”, crediting the “AA” on the uniform shoulder patch. After serving in both World War I & II, the division was reconstituted as the first airborne division of the U.S. Army and fought in numerous campaigns during the war.
After demonstrating his bravery serving this great country, Doug met someone in Fort Bragg, who was in flooring and asked him if he wanted to be part of his company, over 32 years ago. Since then, Doug has opened and sold several flooring stores. He has created a family owned business in which he works alongside his son in promoting the American Flooring Holt name. Holt, Michigan has been the home of American Flooring Holt for over 20 years, providing quality products at great prices to the community. Doug prides himself in having an inventory of products that are not found in every common flooring store and giving a “start to finish” service in installation. From tare out to install, American Flooring does it all!
